The presentation will provide a brief overview of available technology, including new technology that would be of interest for new or upgraded facilities. Two case studies will be presented, one for a new facility design, and one for upgrades to an existing headworks facility.

Tricia Butler has 30 years of experience in the water industry including over 25 years in private sector water engineering. She spent 3 years early in her career as a water and sanitation technology volunteer with the United States Peace Corps. As the Chief Engineer for the Santa Margarita Water District, Tricia is responsible for capital project implementation. Most recently she led the Chiquita WRP Headworks Upgrades.

Gregorio is HDR’s Southern California wastewater treatment practice lead and brings experience in planning, design, construction, and management of wastewater treatment plants throughout Southern California. He specializes in wastewater treatment processes with an emphasis in biological and advanced treatment including nutrient removal, filtration, membranes, and disinfection.
